Drawing inspiration from the ancient craft of stone letter carving, Wayne honed his skills under the tutelage of the renowned Pip Hall, dedicating three years to perfecting this unique art form. Venturing even further, a transformative journey to Italy led to a newfound expertise in wood carving, adding another layer of depth to his repertoire.

Embracing his boundless creativity, Wayne has embarked on numerous public art projects, leaving his indelible mark on esteemed landmarks such as Norwich Cathedral and Westminster Abbey. 

But Wayne's passion extends beyond his remarkable creations. As an esteemed educator, he shares his knowledge and expertise as a Type Design professor at the University of Reading.

The artistic prowess of our featured artisan has not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by his accolades. A true testament to his unwavering dedication, Wayne has been bestowed with the prestigious Craft & Design Magazine's Gold Award in Specialist Media, a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding craftsmanship.
